The 6th Nikki from Riggs has been cleaned and rebuilt by my engine builder. Exciting times when it arrives!

Christine's success last weekend must have inspired Noriaki. Fitted the refurbished Nikki from a Canadian Rx-3, modified to mechanical stage 2. And crikey charley! We very nearly lifted off the face of the planet! 😃 Noriaki has never been in better shape. Unfortunately this happens as snow is falling and hibernation time is looming. But this is very promising for next season!

Last sun rays of the season hit Noriaki today. Now he'll be cozy in the garage on his tyre protectors until May 2025. Plenty of little jobs to do over winter. The new carb needs to learn how to run leaner, the temp sender unit needs replacing, some finishing of various parts in the engine bay needs doing. And then the interior (starting with the dash). But first he'll be getting ready for the long winter sleep.

Just need a straight mix adjustment screw now (see the wonky one below), and the 12A might finally run nice and lean, too. Have one on the way from Canada. We'll soon see what it's like.

Arctic Rotary Season opened today!

Radio installed. Bracket needed some paint, and two holes on the panel below needed filling with pull switches. Found some with the right look. Now it's looking great. Not doing much, though. Don't have speakers yet. Much prefer listening to the twin dizzy soundtrack!
