Its Finally coming back to life so we should be OK for the test on the 18th at Brands 😁. Complete new diff assembly built and plates freed off so it should help understeer that's  plagued the car since the heavier 3 Rotor engine went in, plus a front geometry revision and those wide 11" wheels now up front 😁 Found the Manifold cracked after Silverstone, so the manifold assembly has been repaired and strengthened plus a revamp of the rest of the system, Next weeks task is to get the front wings modified to cover those wide wheels 😉 p.s you will see that the bolts are wired because last time I farmed the diff out and they left bolts loose and the diff big hole in the casing was the result/ This time as normal I built this one like I normally would !

Finally, the car is ready to go for the all day Tuesday Test @ Brands. All for wheel arches required surgery, the fronts to accommodate the 11" wheels and the rears to take the bigger diameter tyres which will raise the gearing on certain tracks, after finding I was running out of revs in 5th @ 150 mph on the straight @ Silverstone 😉. Going to be interesting to see if the RX-7 FD style front geometry advised by Pip, as well as the Diff being loosen off cures the understeer that's also been making the car slow and meant early braking into corners ---------we shall see  🙄

Banned "again". I really couldn't make up what happened today 😉. After 10 laps and got black flagged and told to see the clerk of the course 😟. She explained and this is word for word. "I cannot let you back out on the track because your car is producing flame that is dangerous and it  could scare drivers who may crash because of it" 😂 I am not joking, this really was said !!!!🤔 I tried to explain that the car is entering its eleventh season and as it a Rotary it  makes flame on the overrun and as I was only on partial throttle apparently it was making more than normal. Next came she had never heard of a Rotary engine and why was I not using full throttle so it did not do it, hang full throttle everywhere in the wet, see, I really couldn't make it up 🙄  Anyway Pip and my friend Malcolm spent ages taking fuel out of the program on the cars ECU (thank you) and as we had made a physical change I was allowed out again in the afternoon 😁 Plus sides to the were, the day was just a systems check to make sure all was OK for next weekend the 22nd & 23rd @ Donnington for the start of the new season in Thunder saloons and all is well, so off we go 👍     Anyway Flame, no idea what they are talking about 😂
