My RX-8 (231 model) has just passed it's 20th birthday, having collected it new on 10 September 2004  :13:

So, I thought it was high time to document a bit of the 20 year history of the car as and when I get a chance. This is by far the longest I have ever owned a car, owing to how enjoyable the car is to drive. It doesn't have huge power and not a lot of torque, but using what it has got to the limit on an excellent chassis is just so much fun.

My car is now on 103,500 miles and has completed just short of 100 trackdays, including an epic trip to Spa in Belgium in 2015.

Now on it's 2nd engine, after the original failed on Paddock Hill in 2017 on it's 61st trackday at 80,000 miles.

To start off, a couple of pictures taken 2 days after I collected the car, and some taken a week ago at a trackday at Snetterton. I'm pleased to say that, given I have been to Snetterton more than any other circuit, I still manged to set a new PB laptime on this outing - if only by a few tenths of a second!

:happybirthday3:

More history and pictures to follow..... :)
