Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

I cant deny....... As much as Im excited to get the Rotus on the road and get some track days underway.............

........ im itching to make a start on the 8 project.

Ive learnt so much during this build but there are things I would do different, but rather than swap stuff on the Rotus, I'll stick to the original plan.

The improvements can be made on the next #exciting times

Patience was never my strongest quality so can understand the temptation . Will be a real achievement to see the Rotus completed given the time (and £s) you've invested in this project

Lol yup!

If it's completely toast I'm gonna pull the engine out my blue 8 and rebuild that. It's gonna get replaced with a PP one day anyway

Eccentric shaft

Oh, so is it a rotary?  ???
I thought it was a more industrial version of one of these:

Sort of imagined you'd be putting some nice pipes on it and travel up and down the country, performing. Complete with parrot on shoulder.  :D

Hmmmmmm over braps

Jamie R

So.........

Ive torn the renesis down this morning.....to my knowledge this engine hasnt turned under its own steam for around 8 - 9 years when I bought the car as a non runner.

Theres some good, there some bad.

The plates and housings dont look too bad, I'll mic them all up later. Bit of carbon build up on the rotors and the exhaust ports.

Front and rear stat bearings are shot, so Im questioning the condition of the E shaft in these areas.

Rotors are pretty good too, but will measure these later.

Get all the parts up to spec then ill be digging the die grinder out.

Any views or comments on condition of parts is more than welcome........
