Was reading this thinking 'great progress' and then as Jamie so expertly put it oh no its gone "pants"! I'm sure everyone one of following your build feels for you and we all have our own stories! It's good to remember with every knock back is a lesson learned and somehow will help moving forward........ and when all else fails there is always beer
Good luck moving past this set back and onwards.....

Real sorry to see this Jarno, you know I understand after what I had with Christeen :(

Before doing anything you need a compression test.

You dont need a rotary tester, just a simple piston tester will do.
Pull one plug from each chamber then just hold the compression test button in so it cant build compression then watch the needle flick up and down. Then do the same again on the other chamber.
Your not looking for results just that both chambers are doing the right thing.

If all is OK and you get the car going, please pull off an intercooler pipe so the turbo cant boost.

All the best Clive

I downloaded old map that I know will start the engine. She wont start, for some reason.

I do have rotary compression tester. Might have to use it

From logs, I saw that it was boosting 0.1bar. So it should be safe.

I have tryed to figure what happened, but unfortunately I wasnt logging when this happened

Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

re japi

Well, few weeks ago it started. Base map is far too rich as I said before

Idle is crap. Sounds like s**t. And she doesent brap, thats really weird. Race plugs might be gone

I just cant figure out why my MAP is so low. Basically, it means that engine dont have so much vacuum that it should. As seen in this photo, its around 80, and it should be around 60-70 area.

I have removed UIM about thousand times and it cant be intake leak.

So, theres basically two reasons left for that. One is most anoying, and thats side seal failure. Second is that my ports are so big that it has big overlap. But I doupt this one.

Btw, I did test ecus MaP sensor, its ok

Anyhoo, car is starting to piss me off. I just cant figure out whats wrong with it.

Eccentric shaft

Too rich, flooding. Apart from the mapping bit this sounds painfully familiar...
You don't have to get wasted, Jarno, just keep sniffing that petrol. Best of luck!
Hmmmmmm over braps

Well, its not flooding, almost tho. But its too rich, keeps wetting plugs. Im trying to get it run leaner...

But still, MAP doesent make sence

Sorry to hear you still have ongoing issues Jarno.

You really need a compression test before doing anything else.

If you dont have a rotary one, use a normal one with the non return valve removed, or if it has a decompression button just keep it pressed in while the engines spinning.

Just take note of readings between the front and rear rotor.

Your not looking for readings, your looing for the chambers to be consistant. If you have a side seal gone you will see the needle erratic on one chamber
