Think I'm settled on mounting the turbo like this, less bend, much lower, down pipe almost straight out of the front bumper. Turbo drain back might not have much fall too it but if I raise the turbo an inch it should be fine. Ordered some tube off ebay. Might buy a band saw to cut things straight.

Need some 4 inch stainless for the down pipe but they're like 40 quid per bend and I need 2 45s plus a 90 for the tip to shoot flames straight up

Well well, looks kind of cool with the front drag wheels and tyres on it

Went to see my mate in London that's building a pro import 2jz drag car and he pulls these scales out and says I can borrow them really want to know what the car weighs as my car completely different to everyone elses due to the rotary setup.

I'm guessing 850kg maybe 900kg

Once I know the weight I can use an ET calculator to see what potential the car will run with certain amount of hp

Few things not on the car but all in all this car will still be under 1000kg/2200lbs with me. In it

Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Who would have thought swapping the rear end rx8 parts into an mx5 would be so hard

There are inserts that sit in the hubs, which are stuck onto my control arms (mx5 ones) that do not fit into the rx8 hub

This is one of the inserts that sits in the hub, they're a complete ball ache to remove, they either stay in the hub OR they come out stuck to the trailing arms

This is the rx8 hub by the way, this hole too small for the insert which is stuck onto my mx5 trailing arm...

This one however is the exact same size as the mx5 one.

Need to get the sleeves off the trailing arms and either turn them down or find some rx8 ones.

I am not buying a full set of rx8 arms as I cannot be bothered with doing all of the rear end bushings again.

Thought I would have the hubs and rear axles in today but nope. Honestly losing interest in trying to get things done
