Gotta ask..... are the air horns strictly necessary ??

The Air horns are my thank you to the marshals.

I will explain  ;)
Without the  volunteer marshals who don't get paid, quite simply we would not be racing  :(.

On the slowing down lap they always clap and wave the cars back in, so a beep beep on the air horns is my way of acknowledging them to say thankyou for giving up their time for me to go racing  :great:
All the best Clive

Ah ha Now that makes sense. I had assumed using them to signal "I'm coming past!"  may be considered un-sportsman like Big horns to thank the men and women who give up their time to marshall these events is far better than a little "beep beep" !
Red neck outfit put firmly back in the closet - sorry Jamie

Surely it remains questionable whether they are all Dukes of Hazard fans or wish they were in Dixie?  :D
Come on now, embrace the shame as well as Jamie suggests, your inner redneck  :D

Definition of a redneck.......

A glorified absence of sophistication

We've all been guilty of that at some point in our lives. I know I have.

Been a busy week or two on the race car, splitters now firmly attached to the chassis and super strong so no more flexing.

Steve has been exercising, or should that be exorcising his excellent fabrication skills all day on the rear wing blade. Now complete with a special lightweight alloy tube on the front edge so it cant collapse anymore.

Nearly ready for Mallory now thanks to Steve and if all goes OK Donnington on the following Monday
