More progress...
All tail lights working off all the relevant switches.
Fuel pump primes 2 secs on ignition.
Fuel gauges move from dead bottom on the clocks to empty along with warning light.
Horn works in a fashion soon to be fitted with Henry hoover parts!!!
Headlights function as they should along with all the indicators.
Starter wiring functions.... not turned the engine till rebuild.
Amazingly the 60s Lucas wiper motor carries all the functions asked of it from the stock RX8 wiper stalks and squirters work (stop it !!)
Cant test any of the engine electrics or the EPS until its running, but something does a cycle on the engine on shut down, dunno whether its the throttle body or the flappy jobbies in the intake....

Things to do.........

Courtesy light switches and lights
Big oil pressure warning light
Heater motor
Electric water pump and LCD screen.
Scratch built flasher module ( richards problem) but saves wiring in ballast resistors for LED winkers.
Hazard warning switch
The elusive Henry hoover parts for my clock spring horn

Richard is designing a circuit board to be printed for the speedo, having 2 made is only like £10 more for 2  so no brainer, but thats all canbus stuff.

Just wanna say big thanks to Jon for all your help on the solving of lights and wipers and generally being there on numerous video calls when im racking my brains and need to run stuff past someone.

Thankfully the majority of the "work" was either lengthening or shortening wires.

Anything that had to be "changed" like the headlights and wiper motor I called upon Wiltshire Electrical Engineering Services.

Welp

3 months have passed and the last of the switches turned up today...

I'm glad to say all wiring circuits, switches, components are finished. I'm just waiting on canbus2 module but I can't test it until the engine been rebuilt, car on the road, and can try it.

So until then, tick in the box

Fuel lines and and brake lines next

Well done Jamie, what you have done is beyond me ???
All the best Clive

Thanks chaps....

... If I said I did it all myself Id be lying. This is by far the biggest build I've done, certainly the most technically challenging.

People who know me well (behind the barrier of the forum and the internet) know that I keep myself to myself, I like to be able to achieve everything and it really bugs me to "ask for help".

But the best thing I've learned on this build is...... its OK to ask for help, not everyone on this planet is a complete a$$h£"e. So, work to your own strengths, and if you cant do something, ask. Im grateful there is plenty of people on here who will answer the phone or respond to a message if you have a problem. IF they may not know there answer, you can take everyones 2 pence worth to help you draw your own conclusion.

I aim to get this thing in paint by the end of the year, so Ill just keep plugging away.
