Yeah your exhaust port looks much simpler.

I won't be going too aggressive with mine

But slow n steady wins the race

Yeh you scribe around that shape and port it out but you have to be careful as there are water jackets you can go into, not exactly sure how much to take out bu I prety sure you do it an angle and blend it into the existing port bowl

I got you
Good luck

re japi

Grant, what exhaust port template is that? EP4?

Yes, 13B is much much simpler to port than Renny. Renny has basically no room to do anything, in any ports.

Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Port shape and size looks good to me. But that "eyebrow" Are you going for full eyebrow or just half? Widht seems ok, but I would go for full lengt...

And that exhaust port. For this pic, template seems a bit little...

Many of us has gone with "really big" exhaust. And quite good results with "quite small" turbo. Spools up quite early, and makes good power.

Like mine, I went for big. Offcourse, I dont have anything to prove it yet. But similars have done good results

re japi

I mean, you are going for big power. For me, that port would restrict and migh cause exhaust pressure to climb

Heres mine for exhample. Pineapple EP4 but modified. About 4mm wider, and more oval shape.

Even tho many of us went for full D shape, and got good results, I wanted to try this one. Dont want to cause to much stress to OEM seals.

Extreme rotaries have been known to achieve close to 400hp with NA 13B, I'm not using the bridge port, going with the street port and semi pp, which will probably bigger than the usual sort of size

Plenty big enough..

I think Mr Jamie could do that

Whoever does it, I would recommend what you suggested Grant and machine the manifold flat so there is a closer tolerance between the tubes and the manifold.
This will also remove some oxidation from the surface and make it nicer to weld.

Next I would make a jig to locate the tubes all at the right angle, distances, and distance down each intake.

Can be crude as you like.....bit of ply wood with some dowels of the correct diameter that will just push in/out whilst its being tacked.

couple of pics to explain my jabber.

Im sure youve already thunk this.....
