That's a good chunk of weight for sure, would it be necessary to get the car corner weighted again and adjust the  suspension for the amount or do you think it won't make that much of a difference?

No need Grant because of the areas the weight is coming out of the car will be fairly even.

That's a huge weight loss
Along with the gearbox I'm sure you'll be looking very peaky in thunder saloons

Hope so, going to be well miffed if between the box the weight and the different tyres I dont see a reduction in lap times.

re japi

My friend made classfiber door to his rallycross car. Quite big job actually. But weight loss is massive.

Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Here's a promo Video thats just gone up.
Going to be a tough fight this year, I have seen that more Aussie V8 Supercars have landed here to compet in Thunder Saloons that are in my class!.

Ode to self, got to, got to, go faster this year  :violent1:

If it was gonna be easy everyone could do it.

Positive mental attitude captain.

Put the old girl on a diet, trust your instincts, and cut a hole in the bulkhead so the loud pedal travels further

Quicker gear changes and a bit of weight loss should do you good.

For extra added bonus you could do with another 50bhp

Don't suppose your allowed E85 are you?

Only supposed to run pump fuel but I do run Lucas Octane booster which is one of the few out there that doesn't chage the map because it has oxygen content.

Small update, still being optimistic that i'm going Racing.

New Racing Beat Alloy Flywheel, that should not only spin the engine up faster, but also let the revs fall quicker due to less inertia giving faster gear changes and  Racing Beat clutch disc fitted this week.

My machinist extraordinaire, commonly known as the lesser spotted Steve, is also underway with the adaptor plate for the T5 gear box :wee_hee:
