There was one at Bedford track day which was 550 BHP
But , fair play to the car , I struggled  to catch him through the tight  bends too
They hold on very well

The Skyline has a 2.8 engine and his profession  is mapping.
20 years ago I knew a guy who spent 26K to get a 2.8 short block into his Skyline.

As you will have seen from times its a very competative close grid and and whilst I will always want to go quicker  I was pleased and supprised to see 1.602 off pole with a 52.899614

Track had changed by the race and was very very dirty which was why I was cautious 1st corner and I simply didn't find the grip I found in qually.
Still learning these new slicks so I am going to evenly dump 2lbs out of the tyres and also try 2nd out of Druids to give more initial    acceleration but this may be negated by having to employ an extra gear change ---------------got to try somthing to get her up n running faster today (hopefully)

You should all like the quallyfying in car , as I follow the Paul Radishish Australian V8 supercar and get him, he admited after he know I was quicker, but didn't want to let me by. Pleased I could live with him, because this car is a consistent winner in Thunder Saloons
