I got loads of little mini projects on the go at the same time.

I've been taking pics, I'll do a mass upload soon.

Still havnt decided wether the kebab meat style duct is the right route to go yet, may do a conventional style aluminium duct yet.

Lots of things to weigh up, the air intake, access to all the other components, being able to even fit it in the car, rad hose routing, the opening in the bonnet.

Well,

The "kebab" idea isnt working for me...... Shame, a lot of effort went into it, but thats prototyping. Ya have to get so far with something physical in your hands rather than staring at it.

It a bold move to go, no stop, and back to the drawing board, but I could have wasted even more time.

Next idea is underway, Ill post pics when its done I think.

More holes going in the bulkhead
Airbox underway going in passenger footwell up behind the glove box.
New centre caps for the steel wheels as the previous ones didnt work.
Incisions on the new front end to make it mm perfect

Longgggg way to go yet, I was hoping for completion this Xmas. However the realisation of making panels 3 times (pattern, mould and product) means it will get finished when it’s finished.

I’m not gonna rush it and make a dogs ear of it.

Yeah with rx8 sized k&n panel filter.

Original cone ram air filter up front wasn’t working for me

Air box in the passenger foot well behind the dash.

Access panel in the bulkhead and air intake comes from a high pressure cavity in between the inner and outer near side wing before it reaches the filter.
