I had an s2000 F20 motor when the Westy misbehaved but sold it on. Got a stop gap civic type R track car atmo with k20 in. Its had a few mods over winter apart from an alignment ready togo this year whilst i build mx5 turbo project if we get on track at all.............if i can get the mx5 turbo as quick as 7 i will be happy.
And the FD will go back to roadspec slowly.

I had some micro blisters on passenger wing in winter. Pleased to see the hot weather has made them disappear!

Howich did you pay for the civic? Those K series motors are somethi g to be hold, upgraded springs and retainers and a turbo kit and hondata, easy 500+hp

Got the car for £1500. Spent another £1500 making how i want brakes n suspension...
BUT engine drives the wrong wheels....
The wifes type r FK2 is 305bhp with a diff...it struggles like the 3 Mps...to put power down. I cant drive it fast and put it where i want just wants to put you in the nearest hedge.

Mad Jock whose at 500bhp k20 in his rx7 fd.  Its a standard internal 160k motor!!! He does vids and is very capable mechanic in his garage, does it all himself and maps too. Drives the wheels off it to the point of cracking ppf and blowing trans and hes funny too!
He just about to forge and go for 800bhp...
I agree the k20 is a fantastic engine and the goto 2l at the mo.
Prices will rise.
Mines at 230bhp with a k100 ecu and civic cup map.
Id like todo a mx5 k20 conversion.

Me 2!!! Mega money! US leads the way but very expensive.
Rack is in way off sump. Ive read up on it extensively. They stick them in the back off of mk3 mr2 roadsters too!!! Thats an epic build as well.

Yep exactly that! Plus i wanted to scratch the turbo mx5 itch make 1 properly stop and handle im hoping for a quick laptime....

I can always remember a saying from banzai magazine by one of the editors. When you want to make a car quick "add lightness" taking a car that's sub 1000kg and giving it 200hp will make for a quick car!

Adding lightness to any car you want to perform and it will perform better.

Great thing about mx5s is there's loads of stuff available and cheap as chips
