McCARTHY

Just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas on this because im stumped!!! sorry its abit long... Its a single turbo FD

I was out last night driving down the A3 going towards tolworth and as i came up to the roundabout, going down through the gears breaks on as i came to a halt my car began to loss ideal ....fast! In a last attempt to get them back up slammed my foot to the floor but alas she died on th roundabout.. Leaving it for a few moments thinking that she may be flooded i tried again but it just wouldnt spark and catch!!!! So we, from here, went to pizza hut to chew the problem over, after moving the car accross a busy round about into a layby. A Coke and large pepperonie pizza later we retuned to the car to try one last time.......
oh oh oh yep yep YES ....... But no it just didnt want to start!!!!

One good thing was that we where pasted by a rather nice shiny red FD

Any way me step dad came to get us in the GTO, but i wasnt leaving my car in Tolworth not that there is anything wrong with it... its just full of street rats.... oh sorry CHAVS. so me being me i said LETS JUMP IT OFF THE GTO!!!! 5 paintful minutes later BOSCH she started ha ha ha ha i wass happy but it died again after being on idel for a few moments .... we did again got the car running and got her home...

This morning same problems... which made me best mate late for work and she wanst best pleased i dont think..oops

Iv have the plugs out cleaned them (bearin in mind they are only 2,000 miles old) no change!!! checked all the earths, battery, HT leads, ignition system and NOTHING AGH so annoying!!!! changed the idel speed and alsorts

There was also vertually neet petrol comming out the exhaust in a vivid white vaper!!!!

If anyone has any ideas please ket me know

:(

Vivid white vapour does not sound good bud, are you sure it is not steam and you have blown a seal. I hope i am wrong but this is exactly what a car i had did some time ago, it was like a steam engine.

g11ary

Sorry does sound like a seal has gone, thats why hot or cold the engine dies as you have no compression

McCARTHY

it stinks of petrol, the vapour i mean, so i dont no!!!! if a seal has gone then my engine is still under warrenty its still a bummer tho

t2rew

if you jam an injector open it gives off white smoke.

There\'s a good thought, it sort of sounded like a fuel problem to me.

James, if a water seal had gone bad, it would be pumping the water out of the Expansion tank, (the white plastic one under the right front headlight.

James, check the water level and post back.)

Cheers Martin i will check that first thing tomorrow.... oh wait a min it is tomorrow!!! corrrr monday already?????
