Dutch grazy scientist Kees Hoebeke made similar swap to his Miata. I reckon he might know the answer to your dilema...

I have contemplated whether it's the tracking. When they did it last, I wasn't too certain he was doing it right. I need to go back to wheels in motion and for the guy who runs it this time
Easy enough to check with string line and spirt level to see if all sides are equal .
Have you driven it loads and got the dsc kicking in multiple times to see if it could right itself ?
Has this always happened or just since you changed the rear bushes ?

It's only happened since putting the rx8 dsc system into the mx5.

EAT SLEEP ROTOR REPEAT.

Ah, i cheated a bit as i made my own and moulded in my own captive bobbins / lotocones through holes i already drilled in the bootlid.

Are there any provisions for a mechanical fixing?

If not try chemical adhesion as jon recomended just get it in the right place.

Another option is VHB tape by 3M.....we use it at work. its like double sides sticky tape, but its immensley strong, they used it to mount some double glazing to a hotel in Saudi about 20 years ago

Thanks for the tips. Might go for the 3m stuff. Will be easier to remove in the long run

Jamie R

Line it all up coz once it’s on it’s on.

Tracking booked in for next weekend at wheels in motion

Paul_13

What would you recommend cleaning the paintwork with before sticking the adhesive tape on?

Paul_13

Jamie R

No idea, as long as it's dust free without any residue from cleaning it should be fine

One of the kids toilet wipes lol
