Is there any pid tables in mazda edit you can manipulate?

Unfortunately not...

Im just wondering whether a calibration issue..ie. set up for rx8 not mx5. Longer wheelbase but would think similar handling...if you could get to the pid tune it out a bit...
Could moving the yaw sensor do this ? I would think centre line of rear axle to its position compare the 2 readings mx5 and rx8? Mx5 gonna be shorter so bigger yaw rate value? ( maybe centre line of front axle).
Maybe just maybe moving forward has desired effect...
Id be interested to see measurements of a rx8 and if its smack bang in middle of axles and yours is more rear biased?
Maybe a load of codswallop but worth getting the tape measure out? And move it?

The mx5 is 400mm shorter than rx8. I can't find anything on the mounting point  (rx8).

I have been looking at different as built data for the dsc. I'm wondering if I flash the dsc module with mx5 settings or may solve it

Ive do some background reading and the yaw sensor is usually positioned in the cars centre of gravity? I sorted understand that  which to me would be smack bang middle of car and the middle lengthways between the axles....but if not then clever data and pid tuning...
If you can download the mx5 data its defo worth ago.

I can work out the vin by using the method in the pic. I'll look in the service manual and check the dsc units are the same and then use forscan to change as built data

Cool. Fingers crossed.

Or rewrite the as built with one of the other configurations in the pic and see where that gets me

Brill...so load with mx5 data then?

That's rx8 data. Need to work out a suitable mx5 vin and pull the as built off mazda website. Then compare codes line by line

Mr Spiller

I havnt read your  full thread yet . Can I ask , how far have you ran it after the dsc is kicking in ?
It may be insignificant , but I done a track day at castle Combe and my near side camber bolt had seized . Near side toe was -5 OS was -2. So all to hell
On the sighting lap the dsc was kicking in badly
I came back in
Done the second round of sighting laps it was a bit better
After 2 other easy 3 laps it righted it self so I guess the computer done something  and was great for the day
Mine is an RX8 so not sure if it’s the same
Just a thought

I have contemplated whether it's the tracking. When they did it last, I wasn't too certain he was doing it right. I need to go back to wheels in motion and for the guy who runs it this time

re japi

Dutch grazy scientist Kees Hoebeke made similar swap to his Miata. I reckon he might know the answer to your dilema...
