This ones kinda related to my other post about bodyshops, but I thought the subject heading might give a better clue as to the problem...

Has anybody ever de-tinted their indicators, side repeaters, or anything plastic before?  My indicators have been sprayed midnight black by a so called pro and they are shouting "stop me and fine me!"  I really need to get the sprayed on tint off the indicators as they are part of an RE-Amemya kit and I dont think I can even get replacements anymore!

Any ideas?

Which lenses are you looking for for which re - a kit mate? Any pics, if its the same as mine i might be able to help...

Cheers

A little thinners applied very gently and carefully, washed of straight away so you don\'t melt the plastic lense itself;)

I\'ve used nail varnish remover before. Seemed to do the job.

I am slightly concerned about using thinners - just that I did once before and I only left the stuff on the plastic for 15 seconds or so before it started turning the plastic white.

Donato, I think our kits are the same.  Ive attached an image of mine.

I never thought of nail varnish remover!

The plank who sprayed them has wired the lights up incorrectly to, so the right hand side light comes on when you put dimms on.
