As I told at one topic, I did this, bought a goddamn Ford...


So, I have been quite active in rallycross for several years. At summer I desided that ita time for year off now. Again, cause previous two years were suppose to be my years off... Anyhoo, at same time massive itch got me, I want to race! Funny thing, Im over 40 and never ever wanted to race. So, after 3 months of investigating, asking questions, doing research, I desided to get this... Ford...

Car is Fiesta 1,6 16 Sport year 2000. Its built for V1600, witch is basically stock car. Previous owner made it for his son, who is 18 now. They made it 2015 and it has done only 8 rallysprints. Also, they made full service and engine rebuild at last winter. Car is in very good condition. Hasnt got beating at rallycross. Minimum weight is 1042kg, but she is bit over weight now. Running Megasquirt 2 ecu and about 115 horses. Suspension is Weitec and Bilstein.

Cant wait to get some tests with it

So, after long time, had a day with my car...

1st pic: from coils to front housing sparkplugs. What you reckon, too long?
2nd pic: well, bad pic, but I quess you can see how short they are

Electrics are now basically done. All I need is:
-wires to rad fan.
-ecu in and plug it.
-put wideband gauge in and plug it to ecu

We tested electrics and nothing burned

Also, my friend made mods to upper water pipe in rad. Took one spring off from wastegate. Figured out how to build screamer and air intake to turbo. Big leap forwards, Im happy

It was actually quite fun to work with it again. Sat on drivers seat too, after a year I reckon. There not too much too do anymore, so I think we will try to start in on these winter months...

After 6 hours yesterday and 2 hours today, screamer pipe is finally done... Damn what a job. As you can see, its a tight fit...
