Ill have another look and google tomoz.
When i needed a coltie gearbox (1 of 11 left) i spent about a week searching ended up downloading mitsubishi gearbox pdf that explained all the numbers and yes the final drive ratio was part of the code..
And i was able to buy a Proton persona gearbox with the identical final drive ( fast acceleration). We will endeavour to find 1.

I have tryed to find meaning for those numbers. One dude said that all off those are Fords parts codes but didnt find meaning for FA, FB, FC...

Search continues...

But I reckon I need few those boxes if there is. And front bumbers too

This direct quote from Ford specialist breaker...and willing to stick on a pallet to Finland...( no front bumper though).

The very last letter of the part number just refers to a later version / manufacture date of that part.

YS6R-7002FA, YS6R-7002FB, YS6R-7002FC are all the same gearbox, there is no difference in drive between them.
1.6s zetec mk5 Fiesta gearbox.

Whatya reckon....? Box is 50 quid...

Umm... Weird. I might be looking at wrong code then. Cause some code in that box should tell what it has inside...

Is that box from Sport version? Cause normal version has different final drive.

If that really is what I need, its cheap

I dunno mate...there are SO many different boxes...Ford couldve saved themselves millions with a standardisation program.

Can you get them to check somehow that finaldrive thing. Cause it they are wrong, by class rules I cant use them, and they arent worth anything to me

Reason my search is that we have those basic boxes here, but not these Sport boxes...

Exatly mate. I have done so research and theres soooo many different variations. Basic housing is the same that they have used in many cars. But internals, this Fiesta uses 4.25 final, but Puma has 4.27, alltough all other gears are the same. Stupid Ford...

And then there is 4.20 and 4.23...
