Clive, just curious, what kind of intake air temperatures you have on warm race days?

Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Never worried about intake temps as the big Apexi intercooler is  still nice and cool immediately after a race, even on the hottest days we get.

At one stage for reference,  I plumbed two boost gauges back into the cab, each side of the intercooler to see if there was any pressure drop.

Both readings were identical and this is why the intercooler stays nice and cool, because it flows correctly and as we all know unrestricted air will not generate heat. :great:

After my gardening exercise two weeks ago, this cheered me up to see our Track Attack Series with a write up and being included with such noteable events such as  Bathhurst etc

Id say its just as exciting to watch your series as the Bathurst 1000

No reason it shouldnt be noted alongside a prestigious event.

Took me a while to get down to the Trak Attack section..... i got distracted by the vintage hill climb race cars at prescott and found myself dribbling onto my lap lol

Born in the wrong era I was...... That kind of racing harks back to the days of see-sawing the steering wheel..... I know a man who did that in a ford pop  :great:

I now have the last part of the jigsaw.

Coming out of Coppice I could have got under the leader but I risked taking him off, he then made one move to the right, which was fine so I decided to run down the out side to get a good run out of the Foggerty Esses and get him leading onto the straight.

Philip has diagnosed what happend and  I was probably only a foot or two wider than I had been at times, BUT Philip worked out it was as I changed down to third that made the rear let go on oil  ---------------- So pleased that the Civic that ran the same line behind, pulled out of it with his front wheel drive or we could have have two written of cars.

Looks like I brought home half of Donnington   ::)

So lucky the fans didn't pick up stones and puncture the rad :great:.

Next outing will be the Brands Track day we do every year on the 6th of December.

This is going to be so I can set up the remote proportioning  I have yet to fit and bed some new super aggressive Hawk DTC pads that I'm going to try all round.

These are DTC 60's and I had to take them out after qually at Donnington as I didn't have the feel I needed.

I have the same compound coming for the rear to hopefully get the correct bias back , then  on top of that I am going to fit a Wilwood Bias adjuster in the rear lines only ( BTW No Abs fitted any more, so its all done on my foot ;)

Yep that’s the ones , DTC 60’s all around they were brilliant . They do wear quite quick compared to other hawk compounds but much better  . I changed then to using dtc on rear with 8 pots on front with yellow stuff which came with the callipers , first time at donington it felt weird to start . Almost like the rears  were more aggressive than the front in damp conditions . On slower twistier circuits it was as if under hard braking into corners it would kind of sway the rear a bit helping through the corners .
Well , that’s what I convinced  myself into believing lol
