Been staring at the vac lines diagram are struggling to see where the positive pressure  can come from..
If you pull off the vac pipe feeding the vac chamber at the vac chamber should hear a psst noise as air rushes in equalise pressure. If no noise then there is a leak...are you sure the check valve is in the right way round? As vac opposite to what you think...flow from vac chamber to Uim.

Just a thought. Where is the vac sensor?! Or is this figure predicted by the ecu?

Well done. the tail pipes are just right, any shorter and it would have droned in the cab. Racing Beat make three different length tail pipes because of this.

The SSV problem was a mechanical thing as the valve used to get carboned up, so I'm guessing you know that that's free to move OK
SSV moved fine when I checked. The actuator took a lot more vacuum to move than the vdi actuator

No vac sensor Paul...i was wondering how your monitoring this pressure in the vac chamber?

I was using torque Pro...

Had no dealings with tech pro or mazda edit
..but there defo isnt a vac sensor...
If the vac chamber is holding vacuum when the car is off...then no leak.
I pulled the plug off and used 12v of the jump pack to fire my ssv with the stored vacuum.

Must be theoretical pressure.

I checked all of the vac lines previously. All seemed OK... Definitely worse when hot. Need to double check connections

Maybe. Not thought of that.

*off to look at wiring diagram *

I got a replacement SSV Actuator and vac lines from bigpete on rx8oc.
The old actuator was a bit slow to respond so see if that eliminates that issue. I've got a spare solenoid if not.

I'm trying to come up with a way of keeping a bit of heat away from the solenoids. I might make a heat deflector plate which will shield them from the direct engine heat.

The vac tank is holding pressure :)

The next thing I might look at is the breathing mod which will do away with the catch tank. The oil filler tower is directly linked to the inlet manifold bungs/nipples

Fitted a replacement rear o2 sensor, hopefully will fix the heater failure fault code.

I've raised the rear by 15mm so the exhaust doesn't scrape so bad
