I just crapped my pants.
Oil level warning light come one. Checked the oil level and it is fine.

I googled the issue and apparently mazda recalled my year of engine for defective sensors

Where you doing any sideways actions? If the level sensor triggers will stay on til cycle off ignition.

No sideways action. Just going down a steep hill and coming to a stop at a junction. When I checked the oil level at the road side it was around half way up the dipstick. The ground was uneven though.

When I got home and on level ground, the oil level was probably near 1/4 to 1/3 up the dipstick. The steep hill probably caused the oil to wash to one side and trigger the oil light.

Like you say, it went away after a cycle of the ignition

I had it on track in a S type jdm rx8...yep brown trouser moment...but that car with its soft suspension was on its wing mirrors in the corners.

On a positive note, the exhaust sounds mental when at full throttle. Got the same kind of ring to it as the 787b. Obviously doesn't sound anything like the real deal but still sounds awesome.

I had a big momentary loss of power at 5k today and the AFR's leaned out a bit afterwards. I bit the bullet and bought a AEM fuel pump. These have quite good reviews. 340LPH

I checked all of that a while ago. I stuck another earth on the engine to chassis as a precaution.

I have put that quantum fuel pump back in a couple of weeks ago.

I don't think either of the fuel pumps I have are up to the job

Had a think of what you said and I'm going to run an additional earth off of the pump to chassis. Then run another earth from rear to front of car.
