Just reminded me when i rebuilt axle...i put new half shaft bearings in backwards...
When i drove down the road...all the oil came out...i left that bit off forum...
Then i had to buy new bearings and pull the half shafts and do it all again...

Cmon jarno,

Rome wasn't built in a day.

You have a great basis to start with, and that engine looks superb!

Everyone takes backward steps, I know I have, I'm cutting up my exhaust and doing it diff, cutting up the floor again, need a new sub frame for my new rad.

There's no shame.

Like Jon said, just take your time and enjoy it.

Thanks fellas  :great: I reckon I need a little kick in the blums...  :))

Yeah, Im quite happy how that engine looks. But still...

Stupid bolt on parts :D

Really trying to keep my focus on. Never doing this size built ever again...  :)) Until I find a good chassis for my 12A  :sign0085:

We all have our down days bud.

If it was easy, everyone could do it.

Keep plugging away, it will all come good in the end.

Started to put intake piping on. Cant figure out best way to put it... Didnt have enough piping and stuff so started to do other stuff..

Putted all pulleys on. And alternator...

FPR position started to piss me off, so I changed it. And modified fuel lines...

Then I realized that I can do hoses abit different way. So I tryed that. Can anyone figure that out?

I think it looks quite ok, for my theme

Anyhoo, all that vacuum and other hoses gives me hard time. Seems that I have missplaced my Haynes manual, cant find it in this chaos

Also today, I finally desided NOT to go with watermeth injection system. Yet.

I dont want to push this engine too far. Boost will be set to 1,3bar max and rev limiter to 7800-8000.

I reckon it should make around 460 horses still, torque would be in 520nm range.

This pic is from that friend that I purchased that turbo, manifild and wastegate. However, manifold is now modified, I have different kind of intake ports, a bit smaller maybe. FDs throttlebody is better than my FCs. And my exhaust ports are bigger than his. So result is anyones quess...

You may as well be talking Russian bud... Watermethyhratedfertilizersodiumbicarbonate.

No clue.

Get it running then play.....

It's gonna be quick regardless, and dont forget, no point having crazy hp if all your going to do is spin the wheels.

The only people who should spin wheels are DJ's

True, those stuff are nonsense to me too  :))

Well, good point mate. Currently running 215 tyres so Im quessing that they wont give me traction  ;)

Weird thing is that I dont like that wheel blingbling. So I even dont know what kind off wheels to get. Few of my friends have some nice ones on sale tho. One of my friends have awesome looking and I really do like them. But they have 245s and his 420 horsepower FD smokes them. So, my with more power would get no traction with those...

But one thing is for sure, Im am NOT putting 3k â,¬ for wheels!

lol do what I did then

https://www.oponeo.co.uk/

I bought some 17" steels same measurements as Rx8 alloys with all the clearances for like £70 - £80 per wheel.

Then just put the money into the tyres lol

Jarno,

Lets try and help to get you up n running.

For your vacuum lines,  now you are proper single Turbo you really only need a vac line to the FPR and a 10mm feed to the servo.

For inter-cooler V mount is best, for 2 reasons, 1, each "radiator" gets its own clean flow of air and 2 the pipes going onto the inter-cooler will be shorter which helps turbo lag.

For the water rad you can lay it down at 15 to 20 degrees and it will work OK.

Make sure to fit an undertray with a few 50 mm holes underneath the rad.

Back to tuning, forget water meth unless you want crazy boost as this is just more headaches for you, plus its worth knowing I dont even bother with this on the race car.

As for boost and power, just get the thing running and mapped to 0.9 or 1 bar of boost first, bigger power can come later.

To give you an idea, with the race car with the engine that's in the car, we started at 380bhp then as things got sorted, worked our way to 470bhp  :)
