Wonderful that you have your father in law helping  :great:

I do actually understand what its taking to make all this happen as the car in the picture  was designed and built from scratch by myself and a friend of mine in the early 1980's.

The whole car bar the roof was fiberglass, we even made the car longer and never got caught, the extra length was because I had the rear axle 3" back further than stock to make the car more stable. Proud  to say I won a lot of races in that car

376 clive??

Without sounding suggestive or ageist, with your racing career, you been around the block a few times lol

The q? don't bother me, but he is forgetful bless him.

Yeah I can screw things up on my own, I don't need him doing the same lol

Best he asks questions.

I taught two apprentices over the years and used to instil in them, "ASK" as its the questions that they don't ask and just plough on that screws things up ::)

If you fancy a bit of "sport"

When I introduce him at JDM you can ask if he is the apprentice? hahaha

He very laid back like your good self

You could say that, I started racing cars when I was 16!

376 this was from a formula called National Hot Rods (NHRPA)
The numbering system went national so no two drivers turned up at the same event with the same number.

The first number dictated the promoter you raced for,
Great thing about that racing was, no entry fees, traveling expenses plus proper prize money to go with the trophy's.

A lot of circuit drivers came from this formula / Martin Brundell, Derek Warwick, Rob Collard, Matt Simpson, Colin White to name a few.

All the best Clive

Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Next week fingers crossed.

A couple of blemishes (supermarket car park injuries) my local dent doctor could probably sort.

Really nice white pearl, looks great in the sun, some odd tv thing going on in the car, pops out the dash with ignition, all Panasonic stuff, its Japanese sat nav and there like tv aerial stickers at the top of the windscreen n that, it's most odd

I've no idea if I can covert it to work in uk.........

It's so quiet and refined, even with the hammer down, could benefit from a SS cat back,  no knocks or rattles from the mechanicals, no creaks from the interior, upholstery is like its from the factory.

Felt quicker than 280 horses but then I was on a single track cliff side road in back of beyond.
