So....

Laid up the last of the fibreglass tonight on the 2 front wings.......

Suspense was killing me, so we demoulded the offside rear wing.

Jon the father in law showing off the weeks of hard graft.

Day off tomorrow, Saturday morning will be cutting the originals off and grafting on the new wings.....

*fingers crossed*

Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Wonderful that you have your father in law helping  :great:

I do actually understand what its taking to make all this happen as the car in the picture  was designed and built from scratch by myself and a friend of mine in the early 1980's.

The whole car bar the roof was fiberglass, we even made the car longer and never got caught, the extra length was because I had the rear axle 3" back further than stock to make the car more stable. Proud  to say I won a lot of races in that car

He does a few days a week, has done since the start of the project.

He tried to restore a couple of mg’s back in the 80s but for various reasons he never had the time or the money to finish them.

He loves it, as he never had the opportunity.

It can be frustrating at times because I know in my head how I want to build it and the process involved, but he just asks a million questions which I don’t mind, but he asks the same the next day bless him.

Wouldn’t change him for the world tho, it’s like help the community. Lol. All joking aside, it comes in handy having a spare pair of hands and he gets to see his daughter more frequently which is good since the big C. And he makes a brill coffee.

He is looking forward to jdm.

Best he asks questions.

I taught two apprentices over the years and used to instil in them, "ASK" as its the questions that they don't ask and just plough on that screws things up ::)
