Huge thanks to everyone who came along to day.

Great to catch up with Dave and Sally and to finally meet Jamie and his beloved.

Cars home all safe and sound and ready to fight another day

Found two seconds a lap over previous times, not a bad day sitting on Pole twice with one overall win and a trophy for the class win in the second race.

First race was great as it became like a game of chess with myself and the chasing car using back markers to block each other off, but I got him back to take the win  :) Video should be entertaining.

In the second , I had the option of driving off the track completely or having the eventual winner drive into me with lots of damage to both cars at old Paddock corner, frighted the life out of one of the guys behind me when he saw me fully on the grass because he didn't know if I could hold it or it was going to result in a biggey. But that was it, momentum was lost for the win while I cleaned the tyres off to "regroup"!

To be honest the car was junk for the second race because I flattend out the rear wing and suddenly had no grip off the corner leading onto the straight which meant the car was slower down the straight, plus no grip to accelerate out of Quarry !

Worked out driving home that I need to put the wing back into its previous position and stiffen the rear end via a stronger anto roll bar to tryand make the car "turn" better for the next race at Snetterton

p.s. 36 races now since the engine has been out of the cars, lots of piston race cars would love that record  ;)

p.p.s special thanks to Jon for assisting all day
All the best Clive

Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Clive it was great to catch up yesterday and well done on a successful couple of races.  I still have to go through my photos but pulled out the snap below of the car in P1 with crew.

Few more shots from yesterday.  Certainly close racing at the front!

Not buying a camera when I have car parts to buy.

Not that I'd know a good camera from a bad one haha

Thanks guys.  Went on a college photography course recently so playing with a few of the things we were taught.  Still lots to learn and improve.

Well done!
I've really enjoyed watching a few of your videos. Editing is excellent too.

One thing I'm struggling with though is, how do they make up so much ground on you under braking and through the twisty bits?

There are certain bits where the black Clio looks 20 or 30 meters behind you and then a corner and he's checking the speed on your speedo.

The reason why I'm struggling is that the RX has always been renowned for the braking and handling.
I didn't realise the Clio could catch you so much.

It makes for great entertainment until you got the straight and blow them away... Until the next corner...
How is this possible?
