Clive's 400 BHP Super GT RX-8 Race Car

I left Clive at the track at 3.30pm and the car is fine to go in 2nd race. He'll be at the back of the grid to start, which will give him a good challenge 

Several of the front runners in the first race, the Civic and the Imprezza, have had to retire, plus several other cars are out. Could be interesting.

I'm back home now, listening to race 14. Clive is in race 16, so about 20-25 mins, around 5.20pm.

Battery died. The extended delay to start of race meant Clive switched off ignition, then wouldn't start 2 minutes later. Couldn't even  bump start it. Changed battery in pit lane  and car started straight away. Race was 2 laps in, but  Clerk of Course wouldn't let start from pit lane.

Loved the race commentary towards the end, several mentions of Clives car spitting flames in the fading light as he was overtaking

I did walk to the car in the pits but there wasn't anyone around the car. Next time I will hand around a bit longer.

Looking on the positives the car's obviously performing well and Clive will of had some fun carving through the field.
The battery issue is getting to be a bit of a recurring theme though maybe time to accept a slight weight penalty and either upgrade or run a second race battery in parallel.
