Hi mate, pls fit a temp fuel pressure gauge. Youll be able to determine if you have genuine fault or not...
Test not guess, i was in the exact same scenario as you hence a boneyard of fuel pump bits and pieces...
The rx8 pcm would throw a code if lean running im sure. Id be tempted to try a maf sensor too.

Haven't got round to it yet but will do.
I keep getting a misfire at 4.5k annoyingly

Or loop the resistor....no more low n high power..i did that from beginning saving weight....

How did you "loop" the resistor?

Get the resistor...cut the plug off in the middle of the wires...join the 2 wire ends ..no more resistor dropping voltage. Plug back in.
The fuel pump relays will still swap but there not changing voltage.

Thanks.

Had a weird symptom earlier where it felt sluggish and then felt like a turbo kicked in.
I think the resistor Is pooped and not swapping to high power.

Its a quick thing to try, or again youve got port opening issues....

Fuel pump sounds very eager now

Strangely I'm getting different STFT readings in 2nd gear compared to 3rd.
No STFT in 2nd gear and - 7.81 in 3rd

Just to note this is from earlier today before resistor delete

Its outta spec..what was reading 1.0 ohm?

The resistor! It was out of shot of the camera

Well done changing the HT leads and deleted the fuel pump resistor the mis fire has got sooo much worse. I'm going to change the plugs as well. But I think there's an issue with the high load electrical circuit
