bmw 850i V12 Project....????

Brads dad has a BMW 850i v12 auto, on a H reg.........project.

for a bag of sand i can have a 50% share....should i? Bmw's leave me stone cold no passion for German Junk, but a v12 !!! 850.

It dont run, i diagnosed fuel pumps 3 years ago and its sat ever since.....battery's dead, and i believe when running over heating issue.
im thinking get up mine and get some newish walbros i got on nd see if runs and then clean up and sell as project....gotta be worth a punt?

paintwork shot lacquer peel but car is original and has potential....dunnooooo?

Beemers V12 are difficult bastards. Lots of electical and vacuum hose problems. Engine is great tho. Old auto box is crap.

I had 750 Beemer with 5,4l and newer Tiptronic box. Its actually faster than
850.

I wouldnt recommend that car. I had lots of problems with mine. But still I fell in love with that car. Love&hate relationship...

They have 12 spark plugs

Apparently they're not that powerful for a v12

Well, they arent sports engines, but they are awesome for cruising... 5,4 makes 326horses and 480nm I think... Dont remember 5,0 torque, but it has 300 horses...

850 is becoming a collectors item I quess. So would be good change for making so money. However, those electical problems can cost you alot

Check computers areas. Dont remember how many that one has but I quess four. Under passenger and drivers foot carpet. If wet, its bad. In boot, computers usually stay safe

Im getting under it tomoz....see how bad the rot is...Brad wants to get it running for his dad....( that means me)...im not that interested tbh....
Unless...chassis good...rip the engine and box out...2 bucket seats...rew bridge port in...rattle can black....now where taliking lol.

I have dreamed for a long time to put that engine to other chassis and run ITBs and different ecu... That alu lump can make 600 horses easily... Only problem in that swap is what gearbox to run

Oh yeah, drove very nice indeed....still a bit rich for me.....in other news i got 1 of these friday....
Cat N total loss....80k.full vsh. Just serviced cambelt and wp at 72k...book pack 2 keys elite 6sp auto 160 ps...small dent in door...spent a day cleaning up...ebay soon...
And another mx5 98k full msh...dent in wing Nevade mk2.5 1800svt....so many cheap cars in there....im 80% fixed so buying cars again lol...theres 2 more mx5s going tbrough lol this friday... room for 1 more...
