I have been dreaming to put my 12A into Mazda 1800 Estate from late '60-early 70'. I really love that body, was it Bertones...?

Long day...

I prepped huosings and plates...

Started to put engine back together. I was very carefull. Double checked everything. Apexes are little piece away from bridge, just to be sure. Used lots of lubrication...

Put tension bolts in. Torqued them to 10nm. Put counterweight on, and turned engine, from counterweight. Engine turned nicely, made nice plopplop sound. Turned it full revolution..

Went on 20nm. It wont turn anymore WtF?!?!

At this point I was really tired allready. And pissed off, obviously...

I really dont know what is wrong with it. Some say that with lots of lubes, at some point of torquing, it might go stuck. Desided not to turn it with force. Just torqued bolts into 30nm...

I reckon I have to loosen bolts, back to 10nm, try to turn engine and move from there slowly, always turning engine...

Again, one step forward, two steps back...

I dont know mate, speak to a specialist...wise not to torque up anymore and crush something.

Yeah... I talked with our specialist. Some time they do get stuck if lots of ooze in the engine... Dunno...

Sunday I have time to check it. Ill loose those bolts back to 10nm and try to turn if. It it turns, more torque and again...

If it doesen turn... Well, I dont know what to do yet...

I actually hate that blue paint. It supposed to be near Turbosmart components paint, but its not even near...  I might paint it again...

But those polished parts, Im quite happy. Didnt went easy way and paint them. Lots of hours went to them tho. And they arent shiny enough

Thing is your trying to turn shaft by hand so 1 Jarno power..prob not enough torque..if you popped the flywheel on the shaft youd have z bit more leverage...but i know diddly squat i just blow em up..well 3 so far lol.

Yes, it needs some force to turn over... Didnt want to put flywheel on just yet...

Bearings and spacers changed. Clearance checked...

But cant get that one little bastard to stay in place...
