Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Thanks for the kind words folks........ Seriously tho, I just wing it, there's no science behind it..... Apart from the equation on the board to make a cardboard template lol.

Mr. Exiled Viking.... That ole bean is the million dollar question.

Besides the fact the car is heavily modified, and will have new wings, big wheels, new bumper, under boot diffuser, in my head it will look period as much as it can, you should still be able to look at it and tell what it is........ An Elan on steroids. One of the reasons I went for 7x17 steel wheels.

Colour is am important part, but I haven't decided yet. I'm open to suggestions from everyone who wants to chip in. It needs to look like its from the era so no pearls, or funky metallics.

So ideas so far......

I really like ermine white like it is, like the mk1 and mk2 lotus cortinas and escort twin cam back in the day.
But with a satin black bonnet and satin black bumpers and wheels and lose all the bright work. (Chrome goes rusty and is stupidly priced)

When my car left the factory it was British racing green, so I'm thinking going back to its roots with a yellow stripe right down the middle of the car with the yellow widening around the radiator intake hole.........

Guys, it's an open forum, give me some inspiration...........

Well, you said no metallic but...

I have seen one racing Elan here with similar color than this pic. Looked awesome, all those curves pops out. This car is my friends,  painted in some modern Alfa Romeo paint

Mmmmmmm mk2 escort,

The Scandinavians knew how to throw them around......

I agree the right colour can make a car look amazing.....

I want to keep people guessing so they can't tell what lurking under the bonnet, a modern colour might suggest a twist lol

Lmao I'm not bothered about the purists I'm even planning on going to my local dealer when it's finished to say I think the BRAP BRAP BRAP Is the cause of a misfire and could they take a look with the intent of them chasing me off the forecourt hahaha

I just like the lines of classic cars. But I could be swayed of green and orange of the 787 lolllll
