Battery light confusing moi again.
.Kev was right it is the 1 linked but has a plug with 2 red wires and 1 black wire but no physical neutral connection...need to see if there's fitting instructions later...1 wire goes to alternator ...black wire was used for neutral on illuminated switches and still is...unsure if getting earth through bulkhead fitting off both illuminated switches and switch itself..currently Got a red wire not sure where to stick it...it was 12v. Or alternator is neutral switching it...Raaaa. so turns off when outputting...I don't bloomin know...

Hi Jon,

This was the 902 then up rated by brise

I see you had a bit of the picture, not sure if you saw the plug part. Hoping this will help.

I'm sure now the yellow is the 12v for the light...and this joins to the bulb...as found...on a red wire  then the other red has to neutral although I was convinced cam off a 12v feed...I'm gonna put it as a neutral...I'm assuming alternator switches off 12v for the light so it will go out when running...the other wire goes on ignition relay tells to turn on when ignition switch on...car running light goes out to confirm outputting....I gonna wire as above...the plug confused the hell out of me...

Leaving the red neutral off...dab it down to earth when ignition on with an inline fuse.
Anyways...ready for the final pcm fuse box wire tomoz no more checking. Being playing about with/ without box, positions etc etc..but final place as shown..no box.
Took out side bars of rollcage to allow more access...tomoz the big day...

Hi Jon,

Wow soooooooooo much work, no way I would have got into it that far.

Real puzzled about the altonator wiring, I thought we only had the one big power feed and then just two little terminals on the plug ??

Yes mate sussed it.
1 big power feed... x2 signals..which is
1 to Batt light
1 to  switch ignition so the alternator excitor.

It's the battery warning light that's confused me but I can test b4 firing...the red wire has to be neutral...the plug must just be something that your mate used...I've traced it all through logic says it's neutral.

Alt warning lamp normally just has 2 lives and no negative to in Jon, one from the battery (ign switched) and one from the Alt output. It then works on a voltage differential if the alternator isn't outputting it earths through that, if working fine the two positive feeds cancel each other and extinguishes the warning lamp.

Cheers Kev that was the other way I was thinking but couldn't describe it. Lights when there's a potential difference across the bulb filament. Goes out when voltage the same...
Think I'll ring Powerlite hopefully they'll confirm. Thanks.

Just spoke to Powerlite...possibly the tea boy mind lol....he said its just a feed that switches off when alternator running but could not confirm whether i should provide the other side of the bulb with a neutral or 12v as i confused him talking about potential difference...but if it switches off rather that on then then light would come on when running...so inline fuse it is....so when ignition on not running theres 12 V on the yellow wire its neutral on otherside of lamp, if there is 0V then its 12V feed to otherside and when running 12v comes on and 12v on both sides of lamp cancel each other out no potential difference light goes out..not a prob.  :great:

Jon, many thanks for phoning them.

If you feel the need to talk to them again, ask for Julian, tell him your ringing because of me and is there any chance of talking to Jason out on the shop floor.
