These maybe an option Jon, waterproof and with fastenings at the corners but easy to access.

Waterproof enclosures IP56 manufactured by Gewiss about halfway down the page.

Ok so little update...all the wires left are the 1s that are staying...dash panel reorganised...all switches in and recycled starter panel...7 switches in total. Up in on like ignition...ready to start wiring up me thinks.
6 switches feeding redundant circuits in fuse box. 1 will be additional 30amp 044.

re japi

Thats a LOT of weight loss...  ??? Jon, you should check how much that wire pile weights! I´m quessing +25kg...
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Sorry Jon, too long ago to remember.
I've got the feeling this is probably something my mate Steve had laying around.

That looks very much like it...however the 1 fitted on Clives car has 3 terminals 2 red and 1 black...
Black neutral.
1 red direct from alternator.
Other red came from ignition relay output...so it looks be clever some sort of voltage regulator in it.
Comes on with Ignition and off when running...so 2nd red switches off when charging or vice versa...I know how to wire it up I just wanted to read up on it for my knowledge...and or get 1 for Westy as I don't have 1 on the Westy..Good googling thanks I didn't find that...

Jon sorry just remembered the altonator was from Powerlite and then Brise updated it
Brise were the ones who explained that you must have the bulb in the circuit so the regulator kicks in when it sees load
Hope this helps
All the best Clive

Yep mate..I did a bit of reading up...light wire with load and sense wire when running...but it's going as wired just checking..
