Yeh elbow is probably best place but not sure if there’s an ideal distance too locate so the water gets enough chance to absorb heat out of the air it is suspended in.

Also depends where there’s enough room too.

There was a lad on here called Sean that ran WI like you want too, just for the added safety net it gives without actually remapping the car to gain the benefits of the colder intake charge.

Not sure how aquamist trigger their systems but I would imagine they can be boost referenced using a Hobbs switch so it only comes on when your above say 7psi.

When does the second turbo kick in??

Just had a quick nosey at aquamist. One I looked at issues PWM taking two different signals from the ecu which is then sent too a stand alone unit that works out what to send and when etc.

Not sure if that will work with an apexi as they don’t have any PWM outputs.

I thought use a boost pressure switch like you said 7psi comes online totally seperate from ecuon above 7 off below.

Which one you looking at? Just looking at the AEM one. Seems too simple to me lol.
Comes with its own MAP sensor and fluid level thingy thing

https://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/water-methanol-kits/aem-electronics-water-methanol-injection-kit

This looks ideal, it has two knobs one for when you want it to turn on and the other to turn off. Ideal.

Yeah looks simple enough to set up. I expect there all pretty much the same . Happy to spend that for more power ! Ill have a good mooch about the forum. Nozzle size is next q!

I think the smallest nozzle they offer if your not remapping for the WI, just using it for reducing temps won’t necessarily need huge amounts as most of the magic happens inside the compression and ignition part of the cycle. The water particles absorb the combustion taking heat “out” so to speak and then themselves turn into steam.

Pulling this info from a dark corner of my head so might not be entirely accurate.

Chucking too much water in there can make it hard too ignite to mixture, quenching the spark so to speak.

Think there’s a way to calculate how much water based on fuel flow but that’s beyond me
