Great to see you posting again Adrian  :13:

Good plan to get it back running and use it next summer. Hopefully you'll decide to keep it, but at least it'll be running and worth more if you do decide to sell.

Nice flames in the vid :great:

RESERECTION ALRET!!!!!!!!! Only 5 years or so but who's counting.

So I still have my FC, she has been tucked away comfortably in my garage for so long until a few weeks ago when we got a new kitchen and had some building work done. Now as you can imagine there were  lot of things to store and a car in the garage seemed like it was a waste of space we needed (so she said). So the car had to move to make way. After climbing into (im not joking) the engine bay to do the maintenance a stored car needs before running again she fired right up.  :great: :13: 8) :sign0098: I then backed her out and parked her up on the safety of the driveway. Okay okay I did take her down the road and back to make some BRAPS for the neighbours to enjoy, I promise it was not for my entertainment it was purely for the good of the community (including the miserable  cow a few doors down that always complains about all the cars on the street). Anyway since it was parked outside I've had 3 people stop and ask me questions about it, one had had an FB and FC and RX8 previously. I have also had two enquiry's if it is for sale. Now technically it isn't for sale however  I could use the space and money for other activities plus I'm not sure I can afford to put the money into her to make her as new again like I would like to.
So Rotorheads how the hell do you price a UK spec T2 when there literally isn't any to compare against for sale?

Just to add, she is back in the garage again now and out of the british weather.

I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

Get your finger out, get it on the road and start driving it then!!! (B.Martin 25/2/12)

Hi Adrian! Great to see you post and hear you still have your FC. Value? No idea, but values have certainly been rising of late. Hopefully someone else can advise.

FCs have at last been acknowledged as a loved Rotary.   They have increased in value along with most other Jap cars  including FBs & FDs.   The rule of thumb seems to be that Stock worth more than molested, TIIs worth more than NAs, Coupes worth more than Verts, S5s more than S4s & of course low mileage, good condition will command the best price.
My estimate that Coupes anything up to £15 - 20K & Verts to £12K.  Most UK cars have been welded & had a rebuild or engine swap.
There were only 350 in total sold in UK, the others are JDM.
They are selling in the region of 30K in AUS.
I estimate there is about 25 on the road with another 35 in various states of repair/rebuild.
The above is based on my opinion (being a S5 FC TII Vert owner) having been watching the market & knowledge of demand/prices over the last few years.
I hope this helps

Hiya Casey. How are you mate? It's been a long time. It's good to see some of the guys and gals are still here from back in the day. I guess there will always be less of us as the cars get scraped etc over the years.

Thanks for the info RE5 pretty much what I thought regarding the whats worth more than the alternative. Mine being a UK spec TII coupe is like a unicorn nowerdays. Im kinda at the point where its worth what ever someone is willing to pay for it. With it needing work (welding and restoring) that has to be reflected in the price. It could be patched up and serviced and be road worthy so maybe I just do that for now.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm a fellow UK spec TII very owner.
Owned since 2005 but last on the road in 2019. It's been garaged and got it running end of last year. Took some new plugs and a lot of scary white smoke for the first 5-10 mins but all running sound now. I need to get the brakes fixed as they've lost all pressure and the very roof needs replacing (although not as bad as some I've seen).

I think it's time to pass it on to someone else who will love it though!
