Wasn't happy in the first race but pulled a whole 5 Lbs out of the tyres and stiffend the suspension up and the second the car was much better.

Happy that I wrung the maximum out of the car on the day and actually enjoyed the second race.

Finished 9th but the cars in front were all on full blown slicks and the speed difference was staggering  ???!

Even though the two races and qualifying were only 5 minutes longer this equated  an extra gallons of fuel / started with 3/4 of a tank  and put in a huge 14 gallons of fuel as well  ???

Just had an add up and worked out I completed 63 laps in total today, so that's where the fuel went   ;)

On the positive  side that's seven races on the trot finished, now I need to find some more speed  ;)

There will be lots of footage once my friend Philip uploads the  Go-pro cards, then you can see how I got out the way of those crazy fast Radicals and much modded Caterhams  ::)

Slicks are the way to go. :13: Radicals and Caterhams weigh about as much as your full tank of fuel.  :)) Glad you enjoyed it Colin and by all accounts you acquitted yourself well.  :)) :sign0098:

Clive, a bit off topic and stupid question but who builds RacingBeat Europes Renesis ported engines? And where? :)

Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

No no no, not a stupid question.

The engines built under my guidance using all of our own components.

We send out one a week and quite a few go into Scandinavian country's even up as far as Iceland and as far out into a little Island in the middle of the Pacific and even out into America!.

Price is reflected in the amount of new Mazda Parts we use which many do not and we supply from stock to Full Bridge.

Over the last two years with many sold, we have only had one failure with an engine we sold into Germany without a warranty because he was fitting a big Turbo !

Absolutely destroyed the poor thing while mapping it    :(

Thanks Ray, yep Power to weight ratio and all that.

After racing for many years on slicks, the difference between running a road based MSA approved tyre is like day and night.

The sports car things that were out there, were running slicks so soft that they were chucking rubber at me all the way down the straight each time they came by !

Ok, thanks for info :)

We, Finnish rotary crew, talked about ported Rennys in out Tapatalk chat. One dude said that he has RB Europes streetported engine. Then I started to wonder who builts them anyways :)

Anyhoo, he enjoys that engine :)
Cheers
