faulty rx8 engine - had it any value

Hi

Mate of mine has bought an RX8 with a view to a piston transplant [I know]

The engine has a common fault, starts cold but not hot.

So, does he just bin it or does it have any value?

It's still in the car and could be heard, seen etc. in the Midlands.

If he gets it out...and lists on ebay...prob about £200 as people  want bits and or a play...i was contacted by a rebuilder as well looking for parts...
Sold both my engine in bits for £450 couple of months ago.
Just the pain of getting out.

Looks like £100 going rate for rx8 yellow injectors on the mx5 forum ive posted on...fair few going turbo so there in demand.
Sump 45 maf 25  apv motor 25 e shaft sensor 25 omp 50...all mounts up if prepared to stripped it down.
