Bit of a Race Car up-date.

Of to a track day at Brands Wednesday evening to test the latest mods in preparation for the Race on Sunday at the same venue.

Changed the diff to a 4.3 Auto Diff / then as you will see below in the search for some proper downforce, we now have wings on top of the splitter, full length side skirts to try and tidy the air on the side of the car, plus the lower wing has been removed to try and clean the  air flow to the main wing and then lastly the big diffuser under the back .    (fingers crossed this finds the car some decent speed)

well, I suppose someone's got to do the cleaning 

Hope it goes well tonight Clive, doesn't look like I'll make it down for that , but I intend to get down on Sunday. Realistically, by the time I leave Snetterton, I doubt I'll catch the first race, but 16.30 won't be a problem! Reckon I might get down about 1-2pm, wil bring camera

Only got a few laps in maybe 6-7 before getting chucked out for noise / 2 Decibels out on drive by 

Static Noise: 98Db
Drive by Noise: 87.5Db

Really was a shake down to check the car wasn't lurching itself into violent understeer or oversteer due to the aero mods plus bed some new different pads in.

Tyre pressures came up even all round so no drastic handling changes there, brakes are much more dramatic now so I need to relearn braking distances, plus the gearing has made the car very different but should be better once I have a go at getting to grips with gear change points.

Shame I didn't get more seat time as it means I will have to learn the car in race conditions

what a bummer, the noise regs are tighter in the evenings, you'd have been OK on a daytime session! Well at least you got a few laps in to check there was nothing really bad happening.

Wow we are not the lowest of the low this time out, so anyone coming along Sunday  will find us in the main garages, not dumped out in the old pits.

Spectators access is via the main grand stand on the start finish straight .
