Glad to hear your afternoon session went well, once you'd confirmed the tyre balance issue. Roll on the 25th, I expect to come up again to watch for at least the morning  :)

Here we go my friend Philip has just posted a video of Snetterton chasing after Phil Collards RX-7 on wet weather rear tyres in the dry ! (you will see the tyres light up off one corner whilst they are scrambling grip)

Awesome, really happy for you Clive.  :wee_hee: Car seems to perform quite well and consistent. And I really love sound of it :P What kind of torque you have? Seems that it start to pick up revs in really low rev range...

Pukka is pushing hard :) What kind of power his got? Seems that car is struggling to get some rear grip... ;)

Funny, that yellow peace in your dashboard, it reflects image to windscreen, looks like HUD display :D

Does racing gloves have good grip on stock steering wheel? And why you are not using your HANS device?  :040: always use it!!! :)
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Yes good gloves work and your right I should wear the Hans, but it is such a pain to cope with------however when I am playing for real I have to wear it.

Thats weird. Graph looks actually different that I thought :D In graphs engine revs up "later". But nice power and torque curves...

Well, you should ALWAYS use safety devices, even in practises and if just playing. You newer know what might happen... :)

re japi

Umm, is that at the wheels power? That torque is awesome btw

I would guess that's at the wheel and guessing not running more then 14psi.

The graph looks like all othe rotary graphs iv seen, sharp increase in power, or very "peaky" like rotaries are.

I'd like to see a dunno pull starting from slightly higher rpm with more reference points of rpm. Would imagine it would show more realistic engine operations on track because we all know there's no way clive ever goes down too 2000 rpm and gives it WOT in fourth gear!

Clive what gear was it dynod in? Iv heard that dynoing in third gear can give lower hp than doing it in 4th but it's safer because not as high wheel speed on the dyno??

Yes, its like other rotary dyno sheets. But when Clive is driving, engines behavior, especially picking up revs at lower rpms seems a bit different that sheet says. Seems like engine wakes up earlier "than is should " ;)

Well, if that is whp, that is awesome

In fact I just remembered that pips dyno is a hub dyno

Yeh like I said I'd like to see the pull from say 3500 rpms as I would say that would be a bit closer too how the car runs on track

Also looks like they didn't Rev it out on the dyno. 7500 rpms is what a piston motor can do.... 8500 is what a rotary should do minimimum

I presumed that this was flywheel power, as we all know Pip is very conservative with power / boost.

Initially he only mapped it to 9psi, but on my return which brings the graph above, I told Pip "come on, I had a Civic pass me on the straight at Silverstone" so he reluctantly put another 3 psi into it to give it just 12psi "for reliability" !

I will say though, whilst I am happy with the car, It's one thing playing on trackdays, but its only when I race the thing I will know if its actually competitive. ;)

Is it a street port?

I'd say you need another 5 psi just too make sure you have enough
