Forgot to say that testing that Lada I probably used 70-80% of my skills and maybe 40-50% what that car can do  :P But I´m not a competition driver...

This year we had drag racing dude helping us with that cars rear setup. We gained lots of "inside" knowlidge how links and stuff works. I have learned alot within a year. And car has improved alot. We can do so aggressive setup to rear links that car is actually faster off the line than rear and mid engined cars! 2,7secs 0-30meters and about 4,5secs 0-100kmh. We did it at 4th round in Oulu and every one was like wtf you have done with that car :) Unfortunately, as you can imagine, drivebility isnt that good then. Now setup is quite neutral and car behaves nice, and rear traction is good. Funny thing is that car doesent understeer under throttle but doesent like to go sideways either...

At the moment car is needs abit more power according to our engine builder), but he promised 20 more horses and maybe 20-30 more torque. Engine is just amazing, no problems at all! In this season, only thing that has failed in races was one spark plug :D

Btw Clive, you should come to see that car live ;) I bet that You guys would love to see our rallycross series action. Even though some cars looks like shit, competition is really amazing and though. I really do believe that our rallycross cars might be the best in the world and drivers are just nutcases... :)
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Does that waterline to als Look ok?
Dont mind the lower Line leight. Its Just for image.
I dont know why Carl have blocked original lineport, but there Is no other place to put that tank. Does it work that way?

Whats FDs oilcapacity?
What fuelpressure would be correct to carbs?  I think Carl did say about 4,6 psi. Does it sound ok?

I am about to start the beast tomorrow for the first time. She leaks drops of oil here and there, but mainly all oil stays in and that Is the mainthing at this point.
It have took a few years to have her this far and I am restless to take her to icetrack this winther, allthougt  she needs some running in before redlining...

8.5 litres oil capacity.
dont know about carb fuel pressure.

whar we looking at with coolant filler?

I was trying to ad a "pressure tank" or "reserve tank". Dont know the correct word in English. Dont know would that work that way and there are no originall port for some reason.

The cap on the cooling tower is that a sprung cap to hold pressure and vent the excess?

Ill expand i would think the cap on the cooling tower to not be sprung and the seperate tank to have a sprung tank...then filled to max...so you would need another  un pressured tank to allow for push out when hot and drawing back in when cooling....if the cooling tower has a sprung cap then the external tank is being used as an expansion tank and does not need the sprung cap that i see fitted?
So if i see right and assume the cooling tower just has a unsprung cap then you need another tank to allow for expansion.....hope that makes sense. If you need a seperate tank the 1 in your fd wing will do.

Firing up for first time id squirt loads of oil into sparky holes and crank short burst to build confirmed oil pressure before firing. This wil also check for any oil leaks on any lines before the beast fires up and squirts it everywhere and prime the coolers etc so you can get a decent level in the sump....in addition i would not rev it for at least 10 mins let them bearings have a easy time.
Woo hoo we want a runnning vid !

I use an over flow tank like this and you will find you need to only fill the tank half way to allow for expansion.

If you fill the tank fully it will just push out the water out it does not need, trouble is it will then push out too much water.

If you can draw or show us the full engine bay with the whole radiator/ water system showing.

Thats the idea  and i hope it goes like that.
Bottom port from tank should go to lower waterline?

I change caps so now expansion tank has the sprungcap. I am a bit unsecure about it.

Enginebay looks litel embarassed now...

OK now I see you have an upright radiator all you need is to plumb the system the same as the RX-4

Fit a blank unsprung cap on the radiator then run the outlet pipe from the radiator neck to the over flow tank.

Fill this only half way and put the pressure cap on the overflow tank.

You should have a pipe on top of the rear iron, when filling , let this vent and then reconnect when you see no more air coming out.

If you look at the image below you will see this is how the RX-4 was plumbed as standard.

Hope this helps.

That rear iron venting was a good tip. Thanks Clive.
Pic did help and I think I can put it rightway now.
What about the plastic port at side of rear iron, below oilfilter neck? It goes to radiators lower tube?

On the 7 and 8 thats the feed for the heater matrix so cap if not running a heater.

I am an absolut idiot!! Of course. I forgot that the heater even exist. Thank you, raincoated model :)
Your right, this one doesnt have it.

I need to find unsprung cap to radiator and that should do the trick.
