I have +25mm front fenders on my fd3 and my 8x18 ET0 rims are clashing badly with the rear of the arch on half lock. The arch sweeps in quite a lot from the +25 at the top but looking at it today I can see the rim does poke out a good 10mm or more looking down from above! Seems I got my offsets wrong!
Can anyone verify what they think a +25 Arch should take offset wise on an 18x8" rim please. Or any 18" rim come to that so I can work it back. Alternatively what fills a standard arch with needing to mod it or run stretched rubber. I know the stock sizes but seem to recall they sit in a fair bit?
I am guessing I need something like ET 20 or 25?

Might have some wheels to swap for a +50 setup!

Seems strange that its the back of the arches as its normally the top middle if the wheels stick out to far,

Sounds like the caster angle is wrong with not enough positive caster angle, so maybe a suspension check and adjust may cure the problem if the wheels need adjusting forward.

Caster could be off but then I am pretty sure it will hit the front edge too when I get the bumper on and the top middle when the wheel goes up into the arch! Reading around I think ET 0 on an 8" rim is a bit much!? You can clearly see the wheel sticking out from the arch looking down from above along way!

Wow Leeroy,

Now I have my head around the wheel thing, yes this is your problem, from memory inset is 45 or 50 and you have 0 meaning its purely that the wheels are sticking out way to far and clouting the arches.

As you know, you can get wheels out by adding spacers, but getting then inset more means turning the metal out the back of the wheel.

If you want to keep the rims, I was told years ago that a company in Rainham Essex could do this, company is Elite wheels

Hope this helps

Thanks Clive will keep that in mind.. I have plus 25mm arches so want to verify what I can go out too. Stock wheels down fill the stock arches. But I don't want to go crazy.. So I was thinking maybe et20 on an equivalent wheel size/width then work from there if I go up to 8.5" or 9" wide?
