Grant, I can't remember for sure, but they only work on every 4th or 5th use of the washers when the lights are on, so if they don't work first time then keep trying

And they won't work at all if the level in the washer tank is low, as it gives priority to the windscreen and not the headlamps. Something simple but often overlooked.

Now Iv noticed something about my clutch with the "feel" of it.

When I get in the car and it is cold from being sat all night the clutch pedal will feel really soft when I depress it, basically has zero resistance for about 30% of the pedal travel and then I "feel" it to work, roughly where I would say the biting point is.

Once I have driven the car for 10mins and it is fully warm etc I have a pedal "feel" from the moment I push the clutch from its starting position all the way to fully depressed.

Is this something that all rx8s have or do I have an aftermarket clutch?

Opinions please and descriptions of how your clutches feel when cold and warm. 

I'm hoping it doesn't have a carbon fibre clutch in it as my description would point towards one of those as they have to warm up before they work fully.

That is likely to be a hydraulic symptom...

Really easy to bleed so could try that first to see if it firms it up (a little air would do the same thing you describe).

Also lots of hydraulic fluids are hygroscopic (they absorb moisture over time) which can also reduce the feel in the same way, so you could also try to flush through with fresh fluid to see if that helps (also one more job off the list for servicing).

That was also a thought of mine. Probably needs a good flush through with some new fluid in the clutch and the brake lines
