Well had the clocks out again stripped right down and cleaned again cleaned all connections again but tested got right into the plugs and back together and guess what (going to regret saying this but) everything working as it should even the the digital mile thingy Boom!!

Almost forgot I have managed to get a XS power SMIC so looking forward to it turning up and cleaning it up and getting it fitted!!!! Should have asked this before I bought it like but how do you guys rate them?

They not the best tbh daz,  the intercooler is fine the problem is getting it ducted correctly. Just standing it up like many did seemed up actually working against them.

Ah right so I will need to try and get some ducting to it or maybe just sell the bugger on and get a different one then lol I really should have asked first but it was within budget and it was a SMIC I wanted lol guess I can only try it.
Any advice on the ducting best place to route from etc

Some have made some using thin ally plate, or if possible could it be mounted in fmic or vmic position. The oem ducting works for some smics just not this one iirc

Ah right I will have to see when it turns up, might even put off till winter and maybe look at v mounting it if possible. Guess you get what you pay for lol

Do it right do it once....radtec have a nice v mount ic and rad set up for a grand...includes all fans silicone joiners etc....when you add it up its a good price for a fit n forget solution.....i expect that xs has been handed around abit.

I know what you mean Jon just budget is tight for the next couple of months and it was cheapish hence the buy but I might be regretting it now lol we will see what i can do with it when it turns up! Might look nice hanging on the wall in the garage ha ha

Just enjoy the car as is....modifying is like a drug....lol.
My dash seems to be behaving now....rpm is a little over but i know when to shift now.

Ah nice one, mine has been good all weekend not once has the clocks gone off. As for modifying I know I have a 3in hks downpipe coming this week too can't stop looking for things to spend the money I don't have on lol

Well I have just bought myself an Apexi Pfc and Commander there so with that the intercooler and Downpupe that's me spent up for the next few months lol  next on list tho will be decat and a map!
Should the base map make a big difference to the performance of the car over the stock ecu? And does the downpipe make a noticeable  difference even without a map and does it change the noise and sound of the car much if at all?

The base map is literally a get it running, drive OFF boost to tuner to get mapped.
