Mazda UK HQ now has its own Mazda Heritage Centre and they will be showing different cars through out the year which is open to the public during business hours.
 
At the moment they have the 1986 Tiga-Mazda sports prototype which raced in the IMSA in America.

The IMSA Championship represented the highest level of sports car racing in America from the mid eighties to the mid nineties athe Camel Lights class this car raced in was to accommodate private teams using bespoke chassis and road based engines.

Thanks to their weight, compact packaging, reliability and power, Mazda Rotary engines were a popular choice as they powered vaious cars to victory against Porsche, Ferrari, Buick, Ford and Honda powered rivals.

The car presently in the showroom is the British built Tiga chassis powered by a Mazdaspeed Peripheral port 13B twin Rotor motor producing around 300BHP

Still in its original livery the car is now owned by UK enthusiast Patrick Murphy and was seen at last years Goodwood Festival of speed.

As the cars change in the Heritage Centre we will keep you all posted.
