Cool a rotor head then! He must be mad like the rest of us! Got a nice photo of the ex housing on front turbo...nice n black with a film of oil! There in great nick otherwise perfect for seals and bearings. See what the cost is.

Im looking at the turbos and still trying to fathom out exhaust gas flow. It aint smooth flow more twists than a tornado.....

A lot of people worry about flow and equal length waaaaaayy too much, I watch a lot of stuff by guys making 2,000+ hp v8 etc and not all the time do they bother with equal length headers because it's not too critical on turbos, look at the turblowns new cast manifold..... It's not equal length at all.

There's a point where you want to make more power with the twins and it will cause issues, too much heat and too much manifold pressure BUT in your case you only want mid 300 hp, that's not going to raise issues.

However, like I keep saying, porting out that manifold and the waste gate will stop boost creep, which you are getting a bit of, and will help heat management and spool LOL

Make a few phone calls tuesday and make a decision..twins refurb or single....as it stands atmo i gotta send the oil churners back as have no communication from him....but im not sending them back til he communicates with me.

well seemed to be a break in the rain so i thought id go out and do some gentle pulls in the higher gears from low speed....its setting the defi off at 15psi closing up that pre control wastegate has made no difference as it was doing this b4. its holding there but im getting right off the throttle at the same time.... 1 positive my wipers got a test and there really good. 


this is just like my old 1! i think it needs to go Haywards now....ive done the bulk of the recommision now it needs Carl to check it over!

Zero smoke. Building boost very quickly just looks like it want to hold at 15psi instead of 14. It flickers the defi alarm. No leaks no noises off throttle. Got that slight metallic noise on idle but soon as you rev sounds nice. Like metal rattling on metal.
Think its now time to get to Carl. Let him look over it and check the map etc. 3 actuators, charge relief valves and pre control thingy myjingy bloody confusing.

Well i done a bit of reading and looking at diagrams and i think i know in my head how the stock sequential turbos works....its about as confusing as the rx8 6 port inlet tract and all the port valves on that but its clicked.
My thinking is Bobfish has been running this set up for years and had no problem so why have i...yes the wastegate are known not to vent enough exhaust gases but again bobfish would have had this problem so me thinks i have a wastegate opening correctly problem. Its defo opening else id have blown it up by now just not as intended or quick enough.
