There IS a known weakness with the bracket holding the RX-8 clutch pedal and there have been reports of the bracket failing, causing pedal issues.

This might help to explain;

Master elec windows and mirror controls are mounted on door handles. I suspect lh and rh orientated with dash loom...gonna be a huge job bud.

Aah crap... :/ there goes those plans then ;)

One thing really confuses me: if ecu needs original steering whrel and throtlle pedal to work, is there any way to overwrite them? I mean that if I want to use different steering wheel and pedal box. And can throtlle body (maf) be modifyed to be used with cable. Not drive-by-wire what it is now... Stupid ecu and electric things, i just dont understand them :)

Still trying to fimd answer for my previous question...? :)

However, now I have some new questions: If spare engine is purchased from Uk, is it direct swap to our LHD cars? Engine loom works,  that vacuum hose thing bolts into place dirrectly and so on? Does it need any changes?

Cheers :)

Big work if its possible atall . The throttle body doesnt just open throttle it tell pcm how much and fueling is metered by the signals. Remove it and car in limp mode if it will run atall. Good system lovely idle and coldstart. Are steering wheel is on the "right" side ive never seen a leftie so cant answer that question.

re japi

Yes, my thoughts exactly. There has to be some way to made it "old school", just throttle wire to throttle body. (dunno correct terms...)

No no Jon, your steering is wrong side :) Anyhoo, I think there are not much difference, there cant be...

re japi

What why? :) That throttle modification? Because some our racing rules, rallycross included, rules say that throttle has to be by wire, not by electronics and computer...

Well thats silly...cant see why that is cable throttle is more likely to get hung up in a whack than fly by wire.
