Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

I did some light painting with the car down Cardiff Bay with Stuart Holcombe Photography last weekend, and here is a collection of shots with different lighting levels. But as you can see with the cool light colour contrast along the wheels, I had a cool light emitting lamp taken around the car by hand as the aperture of the cameras were kept on until the shutters were finally activated after the lamp is taken out of the way. Some nice contrasts of warm and cool light on the vastly silver object can be seen.

I now have my RX-7 RS, 1999 model (as well as my RB!).

This is Jon Powell's old car. It has 71,000 miles on it quite and clearly needed a rebuild, which has just been completed by Tim White of RX Motors, am running it in right now.

The car needs a respray as it's very tatty, but other than that it's in good shape. I always wanted an RS, the RB was a stop gap, so I am pleased to have found one. That said, the RB I have is superb, with compression of 8.9 odd, so clearly just rebuilt also, plus Goodwood Motors did all the bushes etc, so it drives incredibly well.

One thing about these cars is the headlights are a bit err, faint. Perhaps I spoiled as my day to day car is a 2015 Merc AMG Line with the LED intelligent lighting system, but I can hardly tell the difference between full beam and dipped on the RS. The RB is somewhat better actually, perhaps on account of the RS full beam appearing to be pointed about 3 feet in front of the car! I guess there's some sort of adjustment inside the pop-up units?

Does anyone out there have any recommendations on HID kits for the 1999 onwards RX-7s please?

I didn't realise that the forum didn't automatically resize photos so some of mine are cut off unless you view the images separately in a new tab in your browser. Sorry.
