Ahh i see after a  bit of googling mounts are integral with oil pan sealing...was not intending on removing oil pan today as that looked a bit of mare and rather do on my mates ramp....so looks like engine mount swap and pan are to be done together else your left with oil pan leak as changing mount stresses the oil pan sealant and breaks it?

Have you looked at these obstacle things? They help create more surface pressure on the bolts/pan to stop any drippy drippy

I think the only car allowed to have a stick on number plate is an E type jag, as it came from factory with one

Jon, just found your thread re-sump.

Mine leaks and has been fixed as few times. Leaks arise due to high stress from the engine. I haven't fitted a sump pan brace yet, but it seems a reasonable solution. You'll need longer fasteners too.
To clean the sump mating surface you need to either lift the engine or drop the front sub frame (not enough clearance without one or the other.

You should have one Steel engine mount and one Aluminium mount (an upgrade is to swap the aluminium to another steel mount. Make sure the mount at the exhaust side has the factory heat shield. I ran mine without for a year with new Poly bushes and it melted !!.

Good luck.
