Crikey!
Just tried to order the part at an Irish mazda dealer - â,¬106!!! Tha\'s about £60! Jeeeez I thought the prices in the UK were bad enough!

wrt topping up the coolant. I understand you use the middle "filler neck"(that\'s what it says on the cap), when filling the system up. For normal topping up/level checking, you use the dipstick thingy on the expansion bottle.
Anyway, I\'ve ordered a new sensor from those nice chaps at Mazda Crayford. A snip at £23

The battery just LOOKS clean (flash)- it\'s filthy now!!

I have a section at the bottom that says "Attach file". Just press "Browse", pick the photo from your computer, and bob\'s your uncle!
ala.....

That\'s what I did!!

Thanks for puuting it up though

I have noticed that the system does that with mostly bitmaps (.bmp) try saving the images to .jpg instead.

The only way coolant can get from the expansion tank to the cooling system is via the small hose connected to the AST just below cap during a vacuum situation. Although you should check and maintain a level on the dip stick in the expansion tank, I think it is important to check and top up from fill point on thermostat housing (when engine is cold of course).

P.S. Thanks for the tip about Pic\'s, I will remember that.

Sorry to bang on about this chaps, but I\'m starting to get a bit worried now.
Changed the sensor - no change.
Decided to renew the coolant with Di water/antifreeze/water wetter.
Also changed the thermostat, as I\'m sure the engine is overheating.
You see, after a trip, I turn it off, and when I set off again (5-30 mins later), it starts ok, but soon after, it cuts out. After restarting, it sort of stumbles along trying to cut out for about 5 mins.
I have been putting 1 or 2 cupfuls of water in for the last week or so. convinced that there was a big air pocket in the block itself - even filled the system up from the water pipe to the plenum.

One time (at band camp), after I turned the engine off, and left the ignition on, the fans stayed on for nearly 10 minutes.
The stock water temp gauge never goes above normal.
There is no sign of a leak anywhere.
The yellow-ish gunge under the oil cap is normal I believe for this time of year
So I have a couple of questions please...
1) where is the relay & sensor that turns on the fans?
2) Is there another water level sensor somewhere?

Bearing in mind it\'s recently had a rebuild, anyone have any ideas?
I plan to get it to Pip as soon as possible, but it may be late January before I can get on the ferry. In the meantime I\'d appreciate any advice as I\'m starting to get a bit fed up with the whole thing now.
Cheers
