Wow, that's exceptionally generous of you, and your missus! I'm currently on a train, on my way to pick up my car from Aston at Essex Rotary, who's done a great job in getting my car sorted, so I should be OK. Just got new tyres to go on and new, surprise "welcome home" goodie to fit and I should be good to go.....

Ok bud as im seen your smooth track driving i was sure the r3 was in good hands.....im still not allowed to take it on track however...1 blimin crash in 15 years lol.

So, let's get this straight, your missus won't let you take the R3 on track, yet she'd let some guy she's never met take it to Belgium to thrash it on track, on the basis of a few nice smooth track videos

- Seriously though, it's fantastic of you to make such a great gesture, that's the side of the rotary community that I love;

I will also say a public thank you CrissyUK. I got a train down to Shenfield and said to Aston I'd get a taxi from there to his place. Crissy was with Aston and offered to pick me up at the station - a very generous gesture. When I arrived at Shenfield, I literally had got out of the station exit, looked around and saw Crissy waving from her car, stopped at a Pelican crossing on the other side of the road. The lights were red for her, so I crossed over and jumped in the car and we set off. What a service - and she point blank refused to take any money for the petrol!

I've just driven the car home, about 50 miles from Essex Rotary and she feels great - I didn't realise how much I'd missed driving her, even though she may normally sit for a few weeks in my garages at times.

My car performed flawlessly on it's Epic Euro Tour; 1000 miles, two full trackdays a Spa and Mettet, returning last night.

An awesome few days! You should have taken the R3 over for a play before you sold it

Great photos....defo would have liked too. Maybe brands in new acquistion.....wife happy as pays off mps. Did mention mrc and rx8club to buyer. He knew nothing about rotarys.

Couldnt pick up number 6....guy was working....hopefully tomoz....but on a positive note took the neighbours 8 for mot and straight through 2nd year running.
